Background
Our client wanted to enhance their existing business change approach to maximise efficiency and have a positive impact on their inhouse employee survey as motivation levels were low and productivity was decreasing. Sick levels were increasing and staff retention was lower than the previous year.
What we did
We were engaged to conduct a review of the client existing business change approach as well as supporting delivery of an improved business change approach.
Before starting, we developed and implemented a stakeholder management and engagement plan that identified all internal stakeholders involved in the change.
We carried out an end-to-end review of the existing business change approach, holding workshops with Senior leaders and SMEs and documented the suggested improvements to the existing business change approach.
We presented the business change approach to key business directors to facilitate sign off of the revised approach.
We conducted a change impact assessment to identify the impact of the proposed changes on customers and staff.
We carried out a training needs analysis to identify mentoring, training and development needs as a result of the changes being implemented.
We compiled a training and development plan and delivered mentoring, training and development interventions for Senior Leaders and teams including team building events that encompassed each department of the organisation.
We developed change readiness criteria for them to confirm the business was ready for the change and developed people readiness criteria to confirm their people were ready for the change.
The Result
Following the introduction of the new business change programme we delivered a 20% efficiency saving based on resource scheduling, sick leave had improved by 4.5% and they had a positive increase of 10% on their employee survey question ‘great place to work’.
