Effecting Change

Background

Our client wanted have end to end billing capability which meant changes in the commercial and operational functions of the business. The client also wanted to introduce new IT systems designed to reconcile and eradicate revenue leakage.


What we did

We were engaged in an overview role to ensure all projects within the portfolio were delivered to time, cost and quality to ensure delivery of the 3 phases of the programme over a 5 year period.

Before starting, we developed and implemented a complex stakeholder management and engagement plan that identified all internal and external stakeholders involved in the changes.

We managed the overall portfolio plan including risk/issue definition and management and to conduct change impact assessments.

We tracked overall progress of individuals projects against the portfolio plan working with the client to escalate issues that could delay delivery.

We worked with the client to manage the portfolio and project boards to ensure regular progress against delivery.

We tracked costs against the business case monthly to ensure the projects were within budget, taking remedial action where required.

We worked with each project to compile a training and development plan and delivered training and development interventions for Senior Leaders and teams.

We developed business readiness criteria for each project to confirm the business was ready for each change and developed people readiness criteria to confirm their people were ready for the change.


The Result

Following the delivery of the projects the organisation saw a substantial reduction in the amount of revenue leakage, were better able to offer enhanced services to their customers and were able to attract new business as a direct result of enhancing. Billing and reconciliation systems.
